DUE TO COVID-19 WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HOST SCHOOL TOURS THIS YEAR,
BUT HOPEFULLY WE WILL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!
Our school tours run from 10:00 am until 12:45pm Monday to Friday. We require a minimum of 20 paid admissions to host a school tour which costs $6.50/student tax included. Chaperones are calculated on a one chaperone per five students, all other chaperones must pay.
When you first arrive (it’s ok if you can’t be here by 10am due to bus travel), we hop on each bus and explain the rules and what your students will be doing here on our family farm. Next, we take you and your students on a wagon ride around the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patches to teach them how corn/pumpkins are grown as well as their life cycle from planting seed through to harvesting the crop. We will also talk of the importance of bees pollinating plant life here on our Family Farm.
Then it's off to the Corn Maze to challenge their navigational skills where each group is given a map with hidden signs to find. As they all make their way out of the maze, the playground area with our huge Jumping Pillow, Spinning Vortex Tunnel, Giant Slides and more will all be open. The picnic table where they can eat their lunch is available and if another school is there you will each have your own separate tables. We will coordinate with you a pre-determined time to make sure the students are all out and do a headcount to confirm this at which point collect any stragglers. As the day draws to a close, optional school photo on the (hay thing) and then gather everyone for a Pig Race at the Pigtucky Derby Racetrack before boarding the bus. Basically, all you have to do is get them here, have fun with your students and we will take care of the rest.
